1. What is the Kenya Motorshow?

The Kenya Motorshow is a major motor exhibition in Kenya and East Africa, bringing together companies, exhibitors, vehicle brands, parts and accessories suppliers, service providers, financiers, insurers, and visitors interested in the motor sector.

2. Who organises the Kenya Motorshow?

The event is organised by Carexpo Motorshow.

3. Where will the Kenya Motorshow 2027 take place?

The Kenya Motorshow 2027 will take place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya.

4. When is the Kenya Motorshow 2027?

The exhibition opens on Friday, 2 April 2027 and closes on Sunday, 4 April 2027.

5. What are the public opening hours?

The exhibition opens to visitors at 10:00 a.m. and closes to the public at 6:00 p.m. Last visitor admission is at 5:30 p.m.

6. When can exhibitors access their stands?

During show days, exhibitors are admitted to their stands from 8:00 a.m. Access during build-up and breakdown must follow the official event schedule issued by the organisers.

7. Who can apply to exhibit?

Companies or organisations whose business is wholly or substantially connected to the motor sector may apply. This includes vehicle manufacturers, assemblers, distributors, parts suppliers, accessories suppliers, service providers, finance providers, insurers, and other motor-related businesses approved by the organisers.

8. What products can exhibitors display?

Exhibitors may display motor-related products or services. Saleable items on display should generally be new or, where applicable, fully rehabilitated and supported by a meaningful warranty, subject to the organisers’ approval.

9. How are stand spaces allocated?

Stand space is allocated based on availability, zoning, booking priority, product type, stand size limits, payment status, and the organisers’ discretion.

10. When is the booking deadline?

All bookings must be reconfirmed by payment of the full balance of the stand fee on or before 28 February 2027.

11. Is a deposit required to confirm a booking?

Yes. Eligible bookings are approved subject to availability and receipt of a completed booking form plus payment of 50% of the stand fee.

12. What happens if I do not complete payment by the deadline?

If payment and booking requirements are not completed by the required deadline, the allocation may be forfeited.

13. Are late bookings accepted?

Late booking applications received after 28 February 2027 may be accepted at the organisers’ discretion. If approved, the full stand fee becomes payable immediately.

14. Can I cancel my stand booking?

Yes, but cancellation charges may apply. Bookings cancelled on or before 31 January 2027 may forfeit up to 50% of the booking confirmation deposit. Cancellations after 31 January 2027 may forfeit all fees paid up to the time written cancellation is received by the organisers.

15. Can I change my stand location?

Changes may be allowed within the deadline period, subject to availability, zoning, and event conditions. Changes outside the deadline period may be refused or allowed subject to penalties at the organisers’ discretion.

16. Are exhibitors allowed to set up before paying in full?

No. Exhibitors will not be allowed to set up their stands until stand rent has been paid in full and clearance has been obtained from the organisers’ office.

17. Are exhibitor badges required?

Yes. All personnel working on stands must wear the correct entry badges for the relevant days.

18. How many exhibitor badges are provided?

Each exhibitor is provided with 10 exhibitor badges per stand and 16 contractor badges, unless otherwise advised by the organisers.

19. Are complimentary tickets provided?

Yes. Exhibitors receive complimentary tickets based on stand fees paid, generally one complimentary ticket per KES 50,000 of stand space fee.

20. Can visitors buy tickets at the gate?

Yes. Visitor admission is available at the main entrance gate, subject to the official ticketing arrangements.

21. What are the visitor ticket prices?

The manual lists admission as KES 100 for adults, KES 50 for children aged 12 to 18, and free entry for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult.

22. Are wristbands required?

Yes. Visitors and complimentary ticket holders must exchange valid tickets for wristbands and wear them as visible proof of entry.

23. Are exhibitors responsible for their own belongings?

Yes. While the organisers provide general security, exhibitors remain responsible for safeguarding their own personal belongings, equipment, products, and stand items.

24. Is stand security available?

Yes. The organisers provide general 24-hour security of the show grounds from build-up to breakdown. Exhibitors are also encouraged or required to arrange stand security through the approved security provider.

25. Can exhibitors use their own suppliers?

Exhibitors may make direct arrangements with suppliers, but the organisers strongly recommend the official or approved suppliers listed for the event. Some services, such as security, may be restricted to approved providers.

26. Are exhibitors allowed to distribute flyers anywhere at the venue?

No. Exhibitors may only distribute promotional material at or within their own designated stand area. Materials distributed elsewhere may be confiscated or removed.

27. Can products be removed before the show ends?

No. Items on display may be marked as sold, but they may not be removed from display before the end of the show.

28. Are special events or product launches allowed?

Yes, but exhibitors must liaise with the organisers in advance to coordinate timing, publicity, and operational arrangements. Product launches are not permitted during the official opening ceremony or the immediate tour of chief guests.

29. Are there stand construction rules?

Yes. Stands must be built, operated, and removed without damaging the venue. Exhibits must remain within the allocated stand area, and stand designs must comply with the rules and limits for the relevant zone.

30. What happens if an exhibitor exceeds their stand area?

Encroachment onto another stand or walkway may attract penalties, including a charge based on the affected stand area.

31. Are exhibitors liable for venue damage?

Yes. Exhibitors are liable for damage caused by their equipment, displays, contractors, staff, or personnel, including cleaning or removal costs after breakdown.

32. How do exhibitors request electricity?

Exhibitors requiring electricity must submit their power requirements to the organisers by 28 February 2027 using the official electricals form.

33. Is there a deadline for forms and documentation?

Yes. Key documentation, including indemnity forms, tickets and badges, electricals, security, special events, photography, and final stand payments, must be completed by 28 February 2027.

35. Where will the organisers’ office be during the event?

Before the event, administration is handled through Jim Africa Exhibitions at Kenrail Towers. During the event, the administrative headquarters will move to KICC.
